Nuclear energy allows to respond effectively and sustainably to growth in demand with a safe, affordable, low-carbon electricity. EDF is the world’s leading nuclear operator with 78 reactors in operation.
Electricity generation is inextricably linked to generating plant engineering, both of which are cornerstones of EDF and its business activities. All of this key performance factors enable EDF being present in the whole chain of a nuclear power plant project, from design to decommissioning, in the way to support the skills’ development of its clients and through long term partnerships.
To help Saudi Arabia in its human capacity building, EDF has welcomed in France several dozens of trainees and has signed a nuclear training agreement with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
A MOU between French and Saudi governments has also been signed for a detailed feasibility study proposition on nuclear fields.
Many cooperations have been organised for the development of a Saudi nuclear supply chain: study tours in France, workshops, training programmes, etc.
